Cowichan Valley December 2019
Sure the blog posts have been few and far between this month. Ok, so there’s only this one. But, I was still out and about enjoying the Cowichan Valley in December, supporting local businesses and taking lots of pictures.
TBT the Cowichan Valley December 2019
We started the month off with a snowfall…well, more like a dusting but it sure got us into the holiday spirit.

Shopping Cowichan
The holidays are the perfect time to support local businesses. Our family makes an effort to shop Cowichan for gifts. Shopping helps us work up an appetite. One that we’re more than happy to satisfy while supporting locally-owned restaurants.

IEOA Truck Light Convoy and Food Drive
I love watching the annual truck parade put on by the Island Equipment Owners Association. It’s a convoy of trucks decked out in holiday lights making their way through the streets of Victoria gathering donations in support of local food banks. 2019 was the 21st parade.
Vancouver Island University Campus December 2019
I really love exploring VIU’s Nanaimo campus. The landscape is intriguing and there are just photo ops galore. I’ve even made a couple of bird and bunny friends who enjoy my visits.
I’ve been visiting the campus weekly since September and I’ve barely scratched the surface when it comes to exploring. It’s a really great space to take pictures.
